well, for a little bit. She did this at my mom's house yesterday. This was the 4th or 5th time she stood on her own.

Madi goes swimming
Today Madi got to play in her pool in the backyard. She really liked it and I think being outside made her extra tired...we got to sleep in till 7 the next day!
She really liked the grass and I think Rowdy thought the pool was his water bowl. He kept drinking the water.

Growing too fast
Since I last posted so much has happened. First of all, summer has begun and we find ourselves enjoying the time off. Unfortunately we were hit by the budget cuts and Charles lost his job. We are thinking positively though and hoping and praying that something good will come our way.
Madi has grown so much in the past few months its crazy. She is now 7 1/2 months old and is crazy full of energy. We love her more and more each day. She is eating solid foods now, teething, crawling, pulling up, and walking behind a push toy. Yes, that's right I said WALKING. She's not ready to do it on her own yet, but I think it will be coming really soon. Here's a little peek at what she has been up to.
2 blogs
Oh no, two blogs...what am I thinking. I think I can...I think I can...
This one is a blog about my adventures in kindergarten.

4 months
Mommy has been playing catch up with the family blog and Madi has turned 4 months old. At her well check she weighed 12 lbs 5 oz and was 22.8n inches long. We also found out that she had her first ear infection. BOOO!
Madi's first snow
It snowed here on Jan 3. The day before we took her to the doctor and found out she had an upper respiratory infection. She didn't get to play much in the snow, but we did take some pics.

Here's what you missed...
While I was away from the computer, here is what happened...
Madison was born October 19 at 12:00 am! I was 6 lbs and 6 oz and 19.25 inches long.
After that I got to stay home for 2 1/2 months to take care of her. Now I am about to head back to school. During that time...we had a lot of fun. Especially during Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Happy New Year
I haven't posted in so long because we have been super busy with our new arrival. Now it is time to play catch up.
Here's the best thing that happened to us this year. Now you'll be reading mostly about her.

Week 37
At our appointment this week we found out the results of the Group B strep test (it was negative) , again my belly was measured, and we got to hear her heartbeat. Yet again everything is good. Doctor F also said that I had dropped slightly and that as he was about to put the Doppler device to my belly that I had a contraction. It was only a little Braxton hicks...but that does mean things are getting ready. Next week he will start checking for dilation and effacement. So at this point I guess she could really come at anytime. I am thinking that she may be right on time. :)
This week has also be full of prepping...getting my room ready (just in case), getting Madi's room ready, and doing everything that needs to be done before she arrives. I think I have mastered the carrier/car seat and have everything pretty orderly in my classroom. I even began prepping the kids for the day that Mrs. Dougherty isn't there.
I think we are almost ready. :)
Week 36
All is well this week. Had the group B strep test, belly was measured, and listened to the heartbeat. All is good. She is still moving around like crazy and this week I had a few nights of sleep that were a little hard.
My team at school also gave me a fabulous baby shower. I love my Carver family! I will post pics when I get them.
